Direct membership for qualified finance professionals
Already qualified, already working in the profession? IAAP direct membership is the fast-track route for accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and finance professionals who can evidence their qualifications and experience.
Direct membership is not a shortcut for underqualified applicants. If you cannot evidence qualifications and professional experience, your application will stall, or fail.
Who is eligible for direct membership?
Direct membership is intended for applicants who already hold relevant qualifications, or membership with other professional and awarding bodies, and can demonstrate a proven track record in the accountancy sector.
Typical applicants include
- Qualified accountants and finance professionals with recognised credentials.
- Members of other professional bodies who want additional international recognition.
- Experienced practitioners in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, reporting, tax, or finance operations.
Minimum expectations
- Evidence of qualifications and professional experience.
- Professional conduct aligned to IAAP standards.
- Correct grade selection, apply for the highest grade you can support with evidence.
Direct membership grades and fees
IAAP offers three grades. Direct entry is assessed on a like for like basis, using your evidence and standing.
Associate Member (AIAAP)
- Early-career professionals with recognised route or relevant experience.
- Use designatory letters AIAAP after approval.
Member (MIAAP)
- For competent professionals who can evidence qualifications and verified experience.
- Use designatory letters MIAAP after approval.
Fellow Member (FIAAP)
- Senior professionals with leadership, standing, and contribution evidence.
- Use designatory letters FIAAP after approval.
